HISTORY

THE FRAI FAMILY

EFRAI TRADITION

The Frai family tradition with jewelry dates back to 1973, when it started dealing diamonds and precious stones like emeralds, sapphires, and rubies in Israel.
Eran Frai took over the business after he moved to the United States and became a certified gemologist at the prestigious Gemological Institute of America. In 1983, the company officially became known as "EFRAI Co.".
.
.
The company came into maturity once Eran met and fell in love with Elisabeth. Born in Brazil, the country with the greatest variety of gems and semi-precious stones in the world - and in Minas Gerais, the state where most of those are located - the Frai matriarch brought the delicacy of the female eye together with the cultural riches of the South American giant, to become the principal jewelry designer of EFRAI.
.
.
The two have been married since 1993, have 3 daughters, and run EFRAI together, bounded by their love for the beautiful and the precious.

Run by Eran & Elisabeth Frai, the company, a member of the Jewelers Board of Trade, RAPNET, JCK and the Gemological Institute of America, is known to source the purest diamonds to produce sophisticated jewelry in elegant designs.

Based in the US, it has as symbol and inspiration the butterfly, a regal animal that evokes rebirth and, most important, mirrors the metamorphosis that diamonds go through, from being sourced, cut and polished into refined jewelry.
